Summary |
One of the most commonly cited
problems from SMEs in the adoption of IT and e-commerce
is that they do not know where to start. IT and
software directories available today do provide
a starting point, but they all share 3 major flaws:
the failure to provide a context, the information
is technology-driven, and there is little help towards
making a choice. This project is to develop an Information
Technology solution directory to assist the SMEs
in Hong Kong in analyzing their IT needs based on
Familiar Context, Business Problem Description,
Solution-Driven Search and Selection Aids leading
to the search of the appropriate solution with the
list of available products and service from an online
directory which will capture all the software solutions
from solution providers in Hong Kong. IT solution
vendors can also reach the SMEs in need in a more
