Summary |
Although the Mainland and Hong
Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA),
does not directly include the IT industry in its
coverage, the industry is poised to benefit from
the trade facilitation and enablement opportunities
resulting from the impending new and increased commercial
activities from the direct beneficiaries. To effectively
capture these opportunity, it is imperative for
the IT industry, which consists mainly of SMEs,
to be able to share opportunities and resources
by forming tactical or strategic partnership, in
order to serve customers who will, inevitably, have
higher information systems demands covering a much
wider geography. An online collaborative partnership
platform for Hong Kong service providers with interface
to tap into similar platforms in Mainland will serve
this purpose by enabling them to organically extend
their reach and capabilities, and ultimately, maximize
their revenue stream. |
