Summary |
The global outsourcing market
is fuelled by increasing competition among Asian
IT companies pushing into the market. In order to
compete more effectively in the global market, it
is necessary to promote Hong Kong IT outsourcing
services and the profile of Hong Kong IT companies
and raise their capabilities and competitiveness
in doing outsourcing business.This project aims
to provide a collaborative platform for Hong Kong
IT companies to identify their strengths and weaknesses
in outsourcing business, to team up with the counterparts
in mainland China to bid for overseas outsourcing
projects, to build up the image and profile of Hong
Kong IT outsourcing services and to share experience
and advice in doing outsourcing business.
2005 OutsourceWorld London (29-30 June
2005)
Hong Kong companies used a top Eurpoean show as
a beachhead into the UK outsourcing sector when
they visited London in June. Outsource World (29-30
June) attracted up to a thousand visitors and more
than 60 exhibitors to the Royal Horticultural Hall
in Victoria, London for the conference and exhibition.
Six companies exhibited at the event on the Hong
Kong pavilion organized by the Hong Kong Information
Technology Federation (HKITF), Hong Kong Trade Development
Council (TDC) and Hong Kong Productivity Council
(HKPC) to promote Hong Kong as the world's trusted
outsourcing partner with China.
